This is officially the end of the "Winter Quarter News" blog. The Winter Quarter has ended.
As for the war, the issue was generally resolved when Period 3 endured a coup d'etat. Peace reigns over the periods once more.
With the P-Ville Olympics coming up, this blog will now retire. I do plan to start two new blogs, one focusing solely on the Olympics, and another focusing on a new movement taking place in P-Ville.
Farewell, all P-Villians. I hope you will check out the new blogs as soon as they are up.

Supreme Court Ruling
This is the official Supreme Court ruling on the "Great Shame of Periods 3 and 6." The original document will reside in the Public Record folder.
"No. 1 Argued March 3 & 4, 2014-Decided Marc 9, 2014.
Abstract
Petitioner Emily Evans of Period 6 filed suit, on account of war talk in the realm of P. The DOD and stock broker of Period 3, Nathan Salunga, has reportedly displayed aggressive behavior towards Period 6. This aggressive behavior escalated to talk for war. However, Salunga launched an embargo so that Period 6 could[n't] trade stock with his class. A Supreme Court case was assembled to discuss the issues of war and embargo.
Let it be known, with the absence of timely submitted briefs and attorney lists, the Court has expanded its deliberations to include the issue of "file and flop." While the Court acknowledges the late submissions by Nathan Salunga and Emily Evans, they were not considered within the decisions. As well as the issue of "file and flop," there also rose the issue of "period law of P-Ville law" when Period 2 passed a law within their period claiming no other period launch an economic takeover of their period.
Ruling
I. On the Issue of War (3-0)
While the Court is aware of the ratification of Articles I and VI of the Call to Arms, it does not acknowledge it retrospectively. War is an absolutely serious matter and to be avoided at all costs. Or as Mr. Welch alludes to in his brief (submitted in a timely manner), war is out of style or obsolete. War results when citizens fail to reach their cohesive potential, fail to inspire each other, fail to motivate each other, and do so in a positive manner. War is an embarrassment not to be proudly boasted. War is a distraction from a societal goal of being humanly splendid. While war has taken place in P-Ville's past after diplomacy was exhausted over a pressing issue, it was not done, nor should it be done, to alleviate boredom. Thus, the Court rules that rumblings, open aggression or initiation of illegitimate war for the sake of stirring the pot, will be met by the bankruptcy of the Supreme Court if the Period's plebiscite showed the overall opposition of war. As period leaders, they should reflect the period's desires, not their own personal agendas. If the plebiscite reveals the period's agreeance for war, shown by a 51% majority for war, then the entire period shall go bankrupt. All bankruptcies will be effective immediately. On top of the bankruptcies, the aggressor period must perform a "Lasting Deed" to the standards of King P. Refer to King P. for list of Lasting Deeds. Refer to Terrance the Terrible Clause.
-Justice Sara Kim and King P.
II. On the Issue of Economic Takeovers (3-0)
The Court rules that a period or individual may launch an economic takeover as an act of defense . Unnecessary acts of economic takeovers will be seen as acts of war and will be dealt with in accordance to the "Issue of War" ruling. Economic takeovers will be allowed in defense, as the DOD should be aware of the economic situation in his/her period. The DOD is liable and holds full responsibility for not only the political aspect, but also the economic side to his/her period. Period 6's economic takeover is legal in this case, as the takeover was clearly an act of defense. It will be the DOD and Supreme Council Member's responsibility to come up with a solution of compensation for their period's investors whose money was frozen in the matter.
-Justice Sara Kim
Concurring Opinion:
Economic takeovers should be a viable course of action at any moment in time. While the court's official ruling restricts the action to "defense," any period may twist the language of "defense" (See Orwell's essay on language) to justify anything.
Regardless of this potential, the responsibility of the DOD to be aware of the economic situation inter-periodically should never be relaxed.
-Justice Chuck Driesler
III. On the Issue of Embargo
The Court rules that embargoes shall be permitted, but cannot target a specific period. A period must enter a state of isolationism, and embargo the trading of stock from all periods. An embargo will be permitted only economically, not politically. It is recommended the Supreme Council outline, detail, and pass legislation to economically, politically, and diplomatically guide the DOD on an exact process of embargo. Failure of Supreme Council to fulfill this duty, will result in the High Court "legislating judicial laws" into effect. Since it is legal for Period 3 to launch an embargo on all periods, Period 6's economic takeover was blocked. All profits made from stock exchanges between Period 3 and other periods since DOD Nathan Salunga declared an embargo are hereby dissolved.
-Justice Sara Kim and King P.
IV. On the Issue of File and Flop (3-0)
The Court rules that if a period files a court case and fails to follow through, aka "flops," they will be subject to bankruptcy. Thus, Period 6 will be bankrupt, effective immediately for filing a court case and failing to follow through. They and all future "file and floppers" must also perform a "Lasting Deed" in accordance to King P. Refer to King P. for list of Lasting Deeds. Refer to Terrence the Terrible Clause.
-Justice Sara Kim
V. On the Issue of P-Ville Law over Period Law (3-0)
The Court rules that a period cannot pass a law that affects the overall Land of P. The Court invalidates all period laws that attempt to supersede their power.
-Justice Sara Kim"

"A Formal Apology" from Period 3 DOD, Nathan Salunga
This was left for the DODs of each period to read to their respective classes:
"Here's a little back story as to why we do not have the power points. Ever since Period 3 has declared war on Period 6, I've noticed that Mr. P. has been throwing cheeky comments towards me during lectures. And last Thursday, I reacted on impulse and immaturely by writing a letter to M.r P. complained about how his class was starting to get dull. I stated that I was tired of the packets and power points. Note: My letter did not represent the feelings of the class but only the feelings of myself and at the time I was very angry which was not a smart move whatsoever. I wrote that I fully accept any consequences thrown at me because I stand up for what I believe in. I signed my name and placed it into the comment box.
The next day (Friday, March 14, 2014) I walked into class and looked at the "East Board" and read "PERIOD 3: Bring your books on Monday." I thought nothing of it and sat in my seat. About five minutes into SSR, Mr. P. calls me up to the front of the room where I noticed a piece of paper on the podium, my letter. Mr. P. asked if I wanted to read it and I accepted his offer. I began to read my letter aloud, I stuttered mainly a lot because I was very nervous of the events that would soon follow. Once I finished I looked up and saw Lofton giving me a standing ovation, he noticed that no one else was clapping and promptly sat down. Then a whole applause rang up throughout the classroom.
Mr. P. then said that since I felt that way, he was going to take away the power points from his website and that we would need to bring in our books on Monday. I stopped him and said, "This is my letter and my actions led to this, so if you are going to punish anyone then punish just myself," Mr. P. then said, "They applauded for you didn't they? That means they agree with what you said." He left the topic up for discussion which led to a very heated argument mainly between myself, Alanna, and Kiersten. Each time a person spoke up they brought up great points suck as I was very harsh and that Mr. P.'s class is a class that I was taking for granted.
After a lot of talking we went on to do the group projects and soon enough the period ended. I was immediately bombarded with negative and even harassing remarks. I felt like I failed everyone and I have. I pleaded with people saying I'm sorry and that I would try to fix it. After school I went to Mr. P.'s class and apologized to him. He said he wasn't mad and found this to be a great learning experience for me.
I am now tasked with the hard assignment of getting things back in order. But I can't do this alone, I need your help. I didn't mean for my actions to have suck a wide effect.
(Don't read this aloud.)
PLEASE READ YOUR SPECIFIC PERIOD'S PART AND THAT PART ONLY.
ONCE YOU ARE DONE READING YOUR PERIODS PART, MOVE ON DOWN TO "ALL."
Period 2:
I am very sorry, I truly am. While writing my letter I was being very selfish and never thought about you guys and how it would affect you. Your native tongue isn't English and some of you depend on those power points. I am once again very sorry for the consequences of my actions and will offer you my services to help you guys out.
Period 3:
I am sorry. For numerous accounts. I am sorry to each and every one of you for the consequences of my actions. I am very sorry for having you guys carry your books up here. I am sorry for being such a terrible leader. I sincerely apologize for what has transpired and other results of my actions. But now, in the face of adversity, it's time to prove myself, that I'm not a terrible DOD after all. I told you guys during my elections speech that I was going to make a change and that we will be remembered. But frankly, we are making change and being remembered for all the wrong reasons. We will tackle this mountain of a task through dedication, teamwork, and effective communication.
Period 4:
I know some of you may feel angry towards me and I completely understand why. I am sincerely sorry for what I have done but please bear with me for change takes time. All I can promise I'll do everything in my power to make things right.
Period 5:
After school I read your class history, sorry. Some of the things you said are totally understandable. I am sorry that you feel that way but I will try to make a change for the better.
Period 6:
Despite our differences and our current situation, I'd like to apologize for all that I have done. I am very sorry and I'll do my best to fix everything.
ALL:
As a possible solution to what has been done, I propose that we follow through Period 5 Class Historian's plan. Please sign the petition as well as complete the apology letter in an effort to get back what we have lost. I know some of you don't feel the need to partake in this, but in order for us to receive that which we have been lucky enough, we must all show our appreciation for Mr. P.'s dedication and hard work towards this class. I understand that this is completely my fault but I am asking each and every one of you to participate for the sake of all of us. Once again, I sincerely apologize for my actions and thank you for your time.

"This Could Be Your Destiny"
This was left in the Public Records folder:
"My name is Collin O'Bryan, and in trying time, people expect, and deserve, leaders to rise to the occasion, and I humbly attempt to do so witht he following words. Now, (pause) we all know of the current situation of P-Ville, and we all know those problems are rooted in Period 3. And we all know, whether we want to admit or not, that in recent times, many of P-Ville's decisive matters are also, in fact, rooted in Period 3.
Now, (pause) I, like you, and fellow P-Villians, are aware of the uniqueness, are aware of the history of P-Ville. I saw aware of the traditions long before being here, when my elder brother was an active member of P-Ville, when we were all wandering the playgrounds of Jefferson or Bert Lynne.
I recall my brother at dinner, sharing some of his wonderful tales of his adventures in P-Ville, and I was thinking and hoping, for what my time might be like in the future.
Well, (pause) the future is now. And I ask you my fellow P-Villians, are you sitting htere like me? Thinking, "This is wrong. We are not on the right path. We are not making use of our limited time here."
To rectify (fix) our mishaps in P-Ville, we must stop, take a few steps back, look around, assess our wrong ways, and take a different course. And having done this, I would like to propose a new course to you, now. It is a path that all of us can walk from here until June, and then we can depart, and we depart forever, never again to have this combination of humanity assembled like so.
So, what will it be? These dying days of March, will we have a new Spring? Will the constant bickering stop? Will a unity emerge and flourish? And will it flourish beyond Period 3? With all Periods of P-Ville? Or will it continue on this cold and empty course of divisiveness, hatred, and worthlessness?
My P-Villians, that is the course we are on! And it is the course we must depart from, just as the light of Spring departs from the dead of Winter.
And so, with the change of seasons, comes the change of P-Ville. Join me, in this change to end the winter weariness of leadership, as I call for a plebiscite, a vote for confidence. I stand before you to ask this simple question, "Do you lack the confidence in the leadership of Period 3 and wish to dissolve it? And ultimately seek new leadeship?""
The orginal document will return to the Public Records for anyone to read.

Period 3 Opinion on War Update
This is a short note left in the Pubic Records regarding the change of opinions on war in Period 3:
"Andrew Collin put out a survey on Wednesday, [February] 19th, that asked: Do you think we (Period 3) should keep supporting the war or back out? On Friday, the 21st, the results were announced that 16 out of 32 want to keep supporting the war and 16 out of 32 want to back out."
This is very interesting news. The class was literally split half-and-half on the subject of the war.

Letter from Period 3's DOTech, Sooraj Intwalla
This was a letter left by Period 3's Director of Technology, Sooraj Intwala as a response to Nathan Salunga's letter:
""So long as the state exists, there is no freedom. When there is freedom, there will be no state." Vladimir Lenin. This quote can be taken in multiple ways, sometimes literally, but other times can literally crush your world. I had looked forward to this class everyday, and personally loved this system of power points. It had kept the peace and was honestly an effective way of reading. This doesn't come from a biased opinion and can't carry any weight because of my job in P-Ville, but rather the honest leader of P-Ville has, in my opinion, become rather full of himself, including his war hungry Supreme Council. Nathan has effectively shut down P-Ville, which is why I propose our own Russian Revolution, and have communism in [?]. Just hear me out.
(This means [?] and re-instant old SCM and DOD.) -DO Tech, P3 (Sooraj Intwala)
P.S.- Can we revert to the old way? WE NEED TO VOTE ON THIS."
There were two words I was unable to read. Please forgive me. Otherwise, this letter is word-for-word.

Nathan Salunga (Period 3 DOD)'s Letter to Mr. P. Regarding Power Points
As the title says, this is the letter Nathan Salunga wrote to Mr. P. that resulted in the "Power Point Takedown:"
"I hate to say it but this class has gotten really stale. The constant barrage of worksheets is really starting to make me dislike this class more and more. I AM NOT LEARNING BY COPYING NOTES DOWN FROM A POWER POINTS AND THEN RE-WATCHING THE SAME POWER POINT. The only time I really enjoy this class is when we do cool life lessons. I am sick and tired of these packets and slide shows. You need to spice it up P. Almost everyone is getting bored of this class. I'm actually going to put my name because I have the "nuts" to speak my mind, and I'll accept any consequences no matter how ridiculous because I believe everything I wrote is true. And if you punishment that'll be ridiculous because of Freedom of Speech.
-Nathan Salunga
3/13/14
*I raise and answer questions a lot because I want to make the class go faster because if not it becomes boring a slow."
The letter has been typed out word for word. The original, handwritten letter will reside in the public records.

The Power Point Plan
After learning the news about the power points being taken down, on March 14th, 2014, I went to Mr. P.'s room after school with a plan.
As of Monday, March 17th, 2014, the plan was officially put into action by all periods. The plan is as follows:
75% of P-Villians from each class must sign a petition.
10 P-Villians from each class must write a paragraph about the power points, including the following things:
1) How often you use power points online.
2) How you personally feel about the power points being taken down.
3) How you think the power points being taken down will affect your grade.
The document giving official details on this will be left in the Winter Quarter Public Records folder on the bookshelf in from of the east wall.

The Power Point Takedown
On Friday, March 14th, 2014, a disaster occurred in P-Ville. Upon arriving into class, fifth period, the DOD, Ivan, made a speech. Most people in the class had little information before his speech about what had happened.
We learned on that day that a time of hard struggle is on the forecast. Because of a letter from Period 3 DOD, Nathan Salunga, Mr. P. had decided that he would take down the power points after the Russian Revolution.
After speaking with Nathan via texting (not my preferred method of communication), he revealed that the intention of his letter was to request that Mr. P. "spice things up." In his own words, he also said, "I never meant for any of this to happen."
A separate post will explain the plan to bring the power points back.

Interview with Elder: Kurtis Guelff (Summary)
Kurtis Guelff is a P-Ville Elder and current T.A. of Period 5. He was in Period 2 of P-Ville two years ago. In that year, a war almost happened. Haseeb, a P-Villian, held the most money in all periods, and basically had control over the other periods. Because of this, the other periods got upset. To resolve this issue, Kurtis and other P-Villians gave power back to the other periods, thus relieving their anger and avoiding a war.
Kurtis believes that there should be a strong reason behind going to war, not just pointlessly doing so out of boredom. He also believes that if war can be avoided by resolving the issue in a peaceful manner, it should be.
Kurtis may decided to be a judge for the Supreme Court case.

Interview with Elder: Kurtis Guelff (Transcript)
This interview was done by email. Only punctuation and capitalization has been changed. Exact wording has not been altered.
I: Please state your full name, what year you had Mr. P., and what period you were in, for public record.
K:Kurtis Alan Guelff, 2011-2012, Period 2.
I: Please explain, in as much detail as possible, what happened in your year. I heard from another Elder that there had been a war.
K: There was almost a war. Haseeb was a stock broker in my class who owned every period in P-Ville because of the amount of money he had in each period. Another period declared war on my period. They had a war document already written out and ready to go. Myself and a fellow P-Villian were able to settle the differences by giving the power back to the periods but Haseeb still holds his money.
I: Interesting. What period were you in? How did you calm the other periods?
K: I was in Period 2. The way to calm other periods is by believing that they got what they wanted. We gave them the power of their periods back when in reality they had it the whole time. They just didn't want that sphere of influence to be looming over them so we took his money out of the periods but he kept his money and ended up distributing it out within the period making the period as a whole stronger than the others.
I: That's pretty cool. So you guys were on the side of peace then, you didn't want war? Do you think your situation parallels the war between Period 3 and Period 6 this year?
NOTE: Kurtis is the T.A. for Period 5. He had previously been informed about the war.
K:Yea we wanted peace. If there is no strong reason to go to war, you should try and avoid it at all times. I don't know if it does. The war Period 3 wants has no reasoning. It's a dumb reason to go to war just because you want to. No war has been fought and already they are already suffering losses from it while the other periods prevail.
I: There might be a good reason for them to go to war. So far, the only reason I have heard was to take down Period 6, but there might be a different reason. Do you think going to court is the right way to resolve the issue? If so, why?
K: It's a whole lot better than war. If you can resolve this peacefully then that is the better way to do it.
I: Are you planning to be a Supreme Court Judge?
K: I am still not sure, I might be.
I: If you choose to take the case, how would you resolve the issue?
K: It's hard to say without seeing all of the information and hearing both sides.
I: That's true. How would you have reacted to the fact that neither periods (or any others for that matter) submitted briefs to speak in court?
K: I wouldn't be shocked, I'd be a little surprised that they wouldn't want to talk about it but sometimes people set their minds on what they want to do.
I: Hm. Thanks so much for answering all these questions! :) If I come up with more questions, do you mind if I ask them?
K: Not at all, ask away.

The Great Shame of Period 3 and Period 6 (Period 6 Apology to Elders Rough Draft)
"Dear Supreme Court,
As you know, Period 6 did not turn in their brief by Sunday night. This is due to a lack of communication throughout the leaders of Period 6. We are terribly sorry for the inconvenience and are already fixing the problem. The leaders have exchanged contact information with one another so we can remind each other of tasks suck as the brief. We would also like to give the Supreme Court something on the day of the trial for dealing with the inconvenience. Once again, we are very sorry for the trouble. Thank you.
From,
Period 6."

The Great Shame of Period 3 and Period 6 (Basic Introduction)
As you know, there was supposed to have been a court case on Monday, March 3rd, 2014. The court case did not happen.
Period 3 and Period 6 members were supposed to have submitted briefs by Sunday at 8 P.M. The only person who submitted a brief was Mr. Welch. Because of this, the court case was cancelled. From what I have heard, the Supreme Court Elders were very disappointed in the lack of organization from the two periods.
On Tuesday, March 4th, 2014, everybody's stocks were lowered to about half of what they used to be because of the great shame of Period 3 and Period 6.
I have very little information on this overall right now. I did hear briefly from Mr. P. that Period 6 attempted to make it up to the Elders by bringing them cookies, though the effort was understood as a bribe. There has been no confirmation about whether this was a bribe, or an innocent attempt to make amends. More information will be given as I receive it.
I have been given a rough draft of the apology written by Period 6 to be given to the Elders. I will type this up next.
Stay tuned for updates on this event in P-Ville history.

Goodbye Court Case
The court case to resolve the issues between Periods 3 and 6 had been planned for today, Monday, March 3rd 2014, at lunch. Most preparations had been ready. Elders were willing to handle the case.
There was only one problem: No Periods submitted briefs. The deadline was Sunday, March 2nd, 2014, at 8 A.M. The only person who submitted a brief was Mr. Welch, an non-P-ville resident of the land of West.
This resulted in the stocks of Period 6 to go from around 30, to 6. They lost more than twenty stock points because they did not submit briefs for the court case. Period 3 went from mid-stocks, between 15 and 20, to 4. They lost more than 10 stock points because they too did not submit any briefs.
Regarding this issue, this historian feels there has been some injustice regarding the drop in stocks. This opinion is not influenced by anyone else. This historian simply feels that the drop in stock should be the same amount of points considering the fact that they committed the same crime.
Feel free to voice your own opinions on this matter too. If you would like your opinion to be written, please let me know.
Regarding the dropped court case, an official apology will be issued to the elders. I will try to gain access to this apology and post it on here. Currently, no information has been released regarding a rescheduling.

Court Request Form from Period 6 to Period 3
This form was filled out on February 18th, 2014, regarding the incident that took place on February 11th, 2014. The form was filled out by Emily Evans, Supreme Council Member and Stock Broker from Period 6. The relation to issue was stated as:
"Stock Broker and Supreme Council Member denied opportunity to stop war."
The reason for the court to accept case was stated as:
"Period 3 declared war on my period, Period 6, on February 6, 2014. There was a war meeting to decide what actions would be taken between the respective periods. My period did not want war, but Period 3 was hell bent on making it happen. As an act of defense, four students, including myself, invested 4,000 total into Period 3's stock. Nathan Salunga, the D.O.D. and Stock Broker of Period 3, refused our investment and the only way to stop the war is to go to court."
The reason why P-Ville needs legal clarity on this issue was stated as: "Nathan Salunga disrupted P-Ville ways and tradition by refusing the invested stock, so he should no longer be a stock broker."
The current whereabouts of the official document are unknown at this moment. Most likely residing with King P.

Rejected Peace Treaty between Period 3 and Period 5
PEACE TREATY
"If this paper is signed by D.O.D.s of both P.5 and P.3, then this is saying that we are making an act of peace between both periods that war shall not be declared between both periods of the Winter term of 2014. And that this treaty may not be broken unless both D.O.D.s agree to do otherwise. Meaning no war can be declared between Periods of 5 and 3. Declaring a war if treaty is signed and still functional then penalty shall be impeachment of D.O.D that declared war and 30% of the wealth of that period shall go to the period that was declared war on and total dictatorship will given to D.O.D. of the class declared war on. So that the other period will be over taken. (Council still active after dictatorship.)"
Both the D.O.D. of Period 3 and the D.O.D. of Period 5 signed this treaty at 12:47 on February 7th, 2014.
Official document will either remain with Ivan Dextre, D.O.D. of Period 5, or will be put into public archives.

Interview with Elder: Jannis Narimatsu (Summary)
Jannis Narimatsu is a P-Ville elder from two years ago. She was in Period 2. In that year, they had a coup d'etat and nearly suffered from a stock market crash (just like several periods this year).
In that year, Period 4 declared war on Period 2. Apparently, the war was also caused by stocks. History seems to be repeating itself. Is Period 3 following in the footsteps of Period 4 ancestors?
Though Jannis was in Period 2, she actually assisted Period 4 by spying on Period 2. Are there spies this year? Do you think someone is spying on your class and reporting it to other periods? If anyone has information or suspicions regarding spies, please contact me.
The war ended diplomatically, though this elder had no information about that... I will find out the details in the near future. What will happen this year?
A prediction that this P-Ville Elder has is that Period 2, though they are siding with Period 6 for now, will turn around and attack Period 6 once this war is resolved. Could this prediction come true?
To make a connection with history, this Elder suggests that the leader from Period 3 is following in the footsteps of history's past leaders, such as Hitler and Stalin. Could this be true?
A piece of advice from the Elder: Make sure you know what you're doing and try not to get too involved.
Disclaimer: The opinions presented by the Elder Jannis Narimatsu do not necessarily reflect the opinions of this reporter. I have already transcribed the recording in a separate post so you may see her exact words. If you would like a copy of this recording, email me and I will send it to you.

A piece of advice from the Elder: Make sure you know what you're doing and try not to get too involved.

Interview with Elder: Jannis Narimatsu (Transcript)
J: My name is Jannis Narimatsu. I had Mr. P. sophomore year, I was second period, on the blue team. I am currently a senior.
I: What events took place during your year in P-Ville?
J: We had a coup d'etat, Bryson (sp?) yeah I think it was Bryson, uh, we had a coup d'etat once and the weird part was he actually did a coup d'etat and pretty much left the school, like, one week later. So there was like no point in that.
I: Well yeah there is a point, you just do it because you're going to leave!
J: Um... We almost had a stock market crash; we got super close, we got, like, .5.
I: What, like your stock?
J: Yeah, like our stock was at .5. So we got really close to a stock market crash but somehow pulled through. I don't really know how, can't remember. Um... A lot of people in our period had, like, a bajillion stock market points and none of us were sure how, but all of us weren't really happy with it. We kind of went to war with Period 6 and to be honest I kind of assisted the war, not in favor of period 2, I assisted the war in favor of Period 6.
I: So what, why did you guys go to war with Period 6?
J: I think it was a point thing. I know people in Period 6 and my Period 2 were... I think we had a lot more points than... I'm trying to remember though cuz I can't...
I: Wait, did you guys declare war or did Period 6?
J: Period 6. I'm trying to remember what happened though cuz as I said I have kind of like, bad memory... Um... I remember I helped with Period 6 for some reason cuz I know Period 2, they weren't really helping, so I'm like "Eh! Better I get with them." I kind of passed notes, not really passed notes but like, passed notes between periods...
I: So you were a spy?
J: Pretty much, I guess double teamer...
I: Oh...
J: I would tell them what happened in Period 2 and then... I wouldn't get points for it though... I just did it for the fun of it, like some "" I am.
I: I see... How was the war issue resolved between the two periods?
J: It just kinda died down, to be honest. Like at first, it was like a rivalry thing and then it just kinda like went "pff." And we were like, "Okay, well that was boring." And, a lot of times when we went to the meetings too, they would... Whenever there were debates about-wait I'm getting off topic, I'm sorry. Yeah, to finish at a lot of meetings, a lot of times we're in the room you can just like tell, there's tension.
I: Hm. So there was never any specific resolution like, a win or anything?
J: There probably was but...
I: You just don't know?
J: I just don't know, to be honest, cuz I was... I just passed notes I mean... I didn't really- I was in favor of Period 6 for the fact that I think people were on to me so I just kind of stopped and was like, yeah, I'm gonna go hide in the corner now, and pretty much did nothing for the rest of the time.
I: Um... So what is your opinion on the current war between Period 3 and Period 6? Like, how do you think it's going to end?
J: Who's winning?
I: Uh...Well...
(Off-recording I briefly explained what was happening with the limited information I have from being in Period 5.)
J: It depends how much stock they have. If Period 6 has like a crap ton of stocks then yeah Period 3 go for them but if Period 3 has like all the stocks and they're just being some greedy "" then, I don't really see the whole point of it, you have pretty much the majority of the points and depending how the stock market is, it can actually crash at any point.
(Seems she ignored the part where I explained stocks... -_-)
I: Hm. Okay, so, how do you think this is, like, affecting the legacy of P-Ville?
J: Probably, to be honest with you, it will probably not leave that much of a mark. I mean, a lot of events happen in P-Ville. You get some significant people, like (couldn't understand what she said...), look around the classroom if you don't believe me... If you don't, then I really question what you're doing in this class. But, other than that, just make sure, like, compared to other classes, like read the other class histories and see if you really have an impact in them and I don't really see it. Just make... But, just a little tip, make sure to record history and everything, record everything that happens each day... and my voice is cracking... Just record everything that happens every day in history and when there's a war record every single event, cuz you never know when something might be used against you and also do not write stuff down, type it up, show an official document, and be like "Here! Here's the damn thing, do not manipulate my words." Also, yeah, you record each meeting too, just in case, you never know what you might pick up.
I: Okay so Period 2 is currently siding with Period 6, what are your thoughts on that?
J:It's like complete irony, in my opinion, to what happened our year. Period 2... I don't know, Period 2 do you really have to side with Period 6? I mean is that really your war? You can just, actually never mind...
I: They're siding for peace.
J: Okay so they're siding for peace, that's a different story. So you're pretty much just siding for peace even though you've nothing to completely do with this thing, you're just siding with them because "Hey! Peace time!" and then I bet you... I bet you Period 2 is just gonna stab them in the back. I bet you... I bet you now, it's gonna be like World War II., where Stalin and Hitler team up and they're like "Hey, we're totally gonna do this war together, we're gonna help each other out and like nope nope not gonna happen. Nope, 'course not.
I: I see, so that's your prediction?
J: That's my prediction. Don't trust anyone. Don't make alliances.
I: Speaking of that actually, Period 5 was about to make an alliance with Period 3, because my period, Period 5, wanted to take over Period 3 if they were to break a peace treaty that we had written, but the treaty wasn't ratified, so we didn't side with them and now we're actually glad about that. Uh, the real question is why do you think Period 3 seems so war hungry?
(Didn't give a very good explanation there, but I think I had already told her in the explanation...)
J: I think... it depends... on how everyone else is doing. I mean, how are they're stocks compared to...
I: They were catching up to Period 6. They were halfway there, but higher than all the other periods.
J: Really?
I: Yes.
J: I think it's just starting to become a greed thing because when you have all the stocks, you pretty much have all the points. So, in a way, you can kinda feel like, "Oh, hey, I have all this power. Look what I can do to all of you. You can just come to me..." I'm getting off topic again. "You can just come to me for all these points because I have all these points to give out." Like, kind of, like bread in circuses, we have all this entertainment to give you, in exchange though, you give support for us. And, the other periods are like, "Wait, that's not right" because, we're in P-Ville, we're gonna see that bread in circuses did not work, even for the Romans. And so as a result, they're kind of resisting against it, and, Period 3, deciding to be omniscient leaders do not like this and decide to pretty much try to crush all the other periods, cuz they want to be king, although only on person can be king but, let's not talk about that.
I: Hm. Actually, let's talk about that.
J: Okay...
I: Do you think it would be better if there was one DOD that ruled over all the periods as opposed to DODs in every single period?
J: We kind of learned already from totalitarian government that that's not possible, I mean, look at Stalin, look what he did, look at Mao, look what he did, look at Hitler, look what he did. And, as we know, none of that really works, you're gotta have one DOD working as one person. You have to have at least 6 DODs contributing to each other their opinions.
I: So are you trying to say the DOD of Period 3 is kind of following in the future of um... past leaders, like from history?
J: Yeah, cuz when you have 6 DODs, it's like nations, you have 6 leaders you can talk to. But then if you only have one leader, that's pretty much one leader ruling all the world. You don't have anyone to talk to, and you're pretty much controlling every little thing. And if people do not agree with you, they can pretty much overthrow you and replace you with someone else. Then again, this just repeats itself because hey, you have another person who's ruling everything.
I: Hm. So as a wise elder, is there any message that you want to relay to the current P-Villians?
J: Uh... Just, keep an eye on your stocks, don't let it drop down to .5 or you will be very worried like us. Do the P-Olympics, although don't expect to beat the Elders, no one's gonna beat the Elders, I'm sorry, we're the best.
I: Oh really?
J: And, when you go to war, make sure you know what you're doing, do not go into war with "Hey! Let's just go to war for the hell of it!" Make sure you know what you're doing, make sure you kind of know what to do, and kind of have it planned out. Like, let's just say, just kind of have a general idea of what you think they're going to do and if they do something completely opposite, make sure you have a backup plan just in case for that. Um. Get as much support as you can, but top be honest, I don't recommend for the other periods to join in on this war, leave it to yourself, keep out of it, otherwise, who knows you might end up losing all your points. And yeah, and you may have one DOD ruling over everyone. Good luck with that.
I: Alright then...

THE DECLARATION OF WAR
February 6th, 2014.
It seemed like a peaceful day. Everything seemed fine in the morning.
But then, at 11:14 on February 6th, 2014, a declaration sprouted from Period 3. A declaration... OF WAR. Period 3 decided to go to war against Period 6.
Upon hearing the results of the DOD and Supreme Council elections, the DOD of Period 3 declared war on Period 6. I have heard from representatives of my class that were at the two lunch meetings that the reason why Period 3's DOD declared war was to bring Period 6 down, especially in stock. I have heard that Period 3 wants to be at the top. This speculation will be confirmed or disproved after I talk to someone from Period 3.
